Welcome to the interactive DVD portion of Arabic for Life. Please explore the many resources available on this DVD, which was designed to facilitate your study of Arabic. The information on the DVD will help you gain fluency and accuracy when listening, reading, speaking, and writing Arabic.

The DVD includes audio recordings of the Arabic letters and sounds. In the first twenty lessons, all vocabulary items and idiomatic phrases have included sound files to ensure proper pronunciation. The activities of each lesson are reproduced with audio files to guide you through the grammar. In addition, each lesson includes a basic dialogue called, “Let’s Speak Arabic.” The DVD also contains videos to reinforce the printed text, especially the “Basic Text,” the “Comprehension Text,” and “Window into Arabic Culture.”  Finally, readings of all twenty literary excerpts in Lesson 21 are included on the DVD with accompanying vocabulary and idioms.
